Letters of Recognition

CONGRATULATORY LETTERS

I am pleased to send a special greeting to any Michigan resident who is retiring or celebrating a milestone birthday or anniversary. I'm also happy to send a congratulatory letter to a young man who has attained the rank of Eagle Scout or a young woman who has earned the Girl Scout Gold Award. If your organization is celebrating a special event and would like a congratulatory letter for the occasion, I would be pleased to send one.

My office can also request a congratulatory letter from the White House for individuals celebrating at least their 80th birthday or couples celebrating their 50th (or higher) wedding anniversary. Please allow at least four weeks for these requests. We need to know the name(s) of the recipients, their date of birth (for birthday letters) or wedding date (for anniversary letters), their home address and the mailing address if different from the home address of the recipient. My office will forward this information to the White House, which will send out the congratulatory letters.

Please use my web form to request a letter of recognition.
